Osho
Osho (Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh) spoke with unusual force about meditation, celebration, sexuality, and the prison of the conditioned mind. His legacy is brilliant and contested. We study the usable fire and refuse the cult of personality.
Key ideas
- Meditation as the art of watching the mind without becoming it
- Celebration and aliveness as spiritual criteria, not grim duty
- Critique of repression — and the risk of confusing liberation with impulsivity
- The master–disciple field as both catalyst and danger
Why it matters here
Osho can crack open people stuck in over-control, religious guilt, or dry intellectual spirituality. Used carefully, his emphasis on awareness and aliveness supports embodiment. Used carelessly, it becomes an excuse for boundarylessness.
How we hold it
Powerpoles is not an Osho community. We extract practices and insights that serve integrity, and we name the shadow of charismatic authority. Discernment is part of the teaching.
